Received bad news about rat's dad - he's not exercising to get strong enough to get himself home from the hospital. The outlook is grim at the moment - failing kidneys due to diabetes. The latest news is:
"There are too many issues for there to be a transplant. Dialysis is the best option at this point. Although the PT''s would NEVER let him fall, he won't walk because he fears falling. Part of all this is the kidney infection that is also impacting his mind as well as his BP and Blood Sugar readings." I was optimistic about a transplant, especially with enough blood family members as candidates.
I am unable to get time off right now to go down to Abilene and basically bully him to get to his feet and walk with his PTs.
